Sarà un'opera di raddoppio dei binari per un tratto di 9 chilometri, di cui oltre la metà in galleria, tra Genga e Serra San Quirico, lungo la direttrice Orte-Senigallia. Obiettivo è migliorare il collegamento tra Tirreno e Adriatico
